Ikeda Kunishige Gyuto
The Gyuto is a versatile knife used for portioning, thin slicing, and chopping meat, fish, vegetables, and other ingredients.
This is a clean Gyuto from the Kunishige brand.
The black area of the blade has been treated with black oxide.
The black oxide finish creates a stable oxide layer on the iron surface, helping to suppress red rust while giving the blade a subdued black appearance.
The rugged black blade and the silver-colored sharpened edge create a distinct contrast, giving the tool a strong presence.
With continued use, the appearance of the black oxide area will gradually change, which is part of the appeal of a carbon steel knife.
This is not a new knife treated with black oxide, so the depth of the black color may vary, but these variations can be enjoyed as part of its character.
This double-beveled knife is made of carbon steel and offers excellent sharpness.
Professionally sharpened and ready to use. Sharpening service is included in the price. Please handle with care when unpacking.
