The yanagiba is a traditional Japanese sashimi knife designed to create clean, beautiful slices with a smooth pull cut.
This knife is single-beveled and made of hagane (high-carbon steel). It was stored unused or nearly unused and has a blackened rust-prevention finish, giving it a calm, dark appearance. It is a very clean piece overall.
It has been sharpened and is ready to use upon arrival. Please handle with care when unpacking. The price includes the sharpening service.
It features the engraving “正澄作” (Masazumi-made).
A carbon-steel yanagiba is all about feel and finish—great for sushi and sashimi when you want smooth, glossy slices from a single pull cut.
