Sakai Takeaki Yanagiba Knife 210mm

This is a Yanagiba knife by Sakai Takeaki. Yanagiba knives are Japanese knives used to create beautiful, smooth cross-sections when slicing sashimi in a single pulling stroke. This piece appears to have been stored with relatively little use; the handle still has its original sticker, indicating careful storage.

The blade is single-bevel Hagane (carbon steel), providing a very sharp cutting edge.

The knife has been sharpened and is ready to use immediately upon arrival. Please take care when opening the package. The listed price already includes the sharpening service.

It bears the “堺武昭” (Sakai Takeaki) engraving and also has a Sakai cutlery sticker. This Yanagiba is well suited for home sushi and sashimi preparation as well as for professional sushi chefs seeking a manageable 210mm length.

The Sakai-made single-bevel blade offers refined control when portioning sashimi slices and nigiri toppings.
