Nakiri Knife, possibly from Kanesou
The Nakiri knife is a double-bevel Japanese knife primarily used for cutting vegetables.
Made from carbon steel, this knife offers exceptional sharpness.
The engraving is faint and difficult to read, but the first character appears to be "か" (Ka), which suggests it might be from Kanesou. It was acquired along with several other Kanesou knives, but this cannot be confirmed with certainty.
The knife features a water buffalo horn handle and is in excellent condition with outstanding sharpness. If the engraving were clearer, this knife would likely be priced much higher.
The knife has been sharpened, so it’s ready to use immediately. Please handle it with care when unpacking. The price includes the sharpening fee.
The "登録" (Registered) engraving is still visible, but the brand name is faint.
Length: 325mm
Blade Length: 185mm
Blade Width: 44mm
Blade Thickness: 3-4mm
Weight: 158g
SHARPENED by a Japanese Sharpener. Razor sharp. The sharpener is in Kyoto, the traditional city in Japan as you know. You can use without maintenance. You don't need to pay maintenance costs after receiving. If any, please feel free to ask, English available.
