Izutsuki KIYA Castella Knife (Slicer)

This is a Castella (cake) slicer from Izutsuki KIYA. Castella knives are designed to slice cakes and items like roast beef while keeping the cut surface smooth and intact. The blade is marked as made from Austrian special steel, indicating a high-quality imported alloy. Some patina typical of Hagane steel is visible, but the freshly sharpened edge shows the bright silver core steel.

The knife has a double-bevel Hagane (carbon steel) blade, offering a keen and smooth slicing action.

It has been sharpened, so it is ready to use immediately upon arrival. Please handle with care when unpacking. The price includes the sharpening fee.

It features the Izutsuki KIYA logo, as well as engravings "木屋" (Kiya) and "墺国製特殊鋼" (Austrian Special Steel).

This long slicer is ideal for neatly portioning cakes, Castella, and roasts, making it a useful tool for both home entertainers and professional pastry or deli kitchens.
