Tsukiji Masamoto Tsuke Knife

The Tsuke knife is a rare tool without a sharpened edge, used in the production of kamaboko (fish cakes) to spread fish paste onto the wooden boards during preparation.

The handle features the engraving "秀吉" (Hideyoshi), indicating this is a piece crafted by Hideyoshi Hirano, the second son of Sakichi Hirano, the founder of the Tsukiji Masamoto brand.

It has the engravings "登録" (Registered), "築正本" (Tsukiji Masamoto), and "秀" (Shu) on the blade.
