Kikuichimonji Yanagiba Knife (Bessaku)

This is a Bessaku (special make) Yanagiba knife from Kikuichimonji. Yanagiba knives are traditional Japanese sashimi knives with long, slender blades that create beautifully smooth cut surfaces. There is a minute chip in the water buffalo horn ferrule, but overall the knife shows very little use and can be considered a fine-condition piece.

The knife has a single-bevel Hagane (carbon steel) blade, providing extremely sharp cutting performance.

It has been sharpened, so it is ready to use immediately upon arrival. Please handle with care when unpacking. The price includes the sharpening fee.

It bears engravings "登録" (Registered), "菊一文字" (Kikuichimonji), and "別作" (Bessaku / Special Make).

This Yanagiba is well suited for serious sashimi lovers or sushi chefs who want a traditional blade capable of delivering clean, glossy slices of sashimi in a sushi restaurant or home setting.
