U.S. Shipping & Customs Notice
Last updated: September 10, 2025
1) Changes to U.S. Import Rules
The U.S. government has abolished the de minimis exemption (previously duty-free up to $800). As a result, customs duties and import taxes may now be charged regardless of order value. Customers who previously received packages without additional charges may now be billed upon delivery.
2) Temporary Suspension by Japan Post
Japan Post has suspended shipments to the United States. We are currently using UPS for all U.S.-bound orders instead.
- UPS shipping fees are higher than Japan Post.
- Even small parcels cost from around $35 (minimum).
- We recommend combining items to improve shipping value.
3) Free Shipping
Free shipping on orders over $300. Please note that even if shipping is free, customs duties and import taxes may still be billed to you upon delivery.
For orders under $300, UPS shipping charges (starting at ~$35) will apply. We recommend taking advantage of free shipping, or placing an order that justifies the shipping cost.
4) Future Updates
If Japan Post resumes U.S. service, overall shipping costs may decrease. We will update this page as the situation evolves.
