Kai is a sharpening enthusiast in London who has purchased Masamoto Japanese knives from Yoichiro Knife.

After the knives arrived safely, Kai started sharpening them further to suit personal preferences before putting them to use. At the time of the message, the sharpening was still in progress, so the knives had not yet been used.

Kai also immediately recognized the small origami included with the order as a kabuto, a traditional Japanese samurai helmet.
