Genki Deba Knife
The Deba is a traditional Japanese knife designed for processing fish, with a thick blade suitable for working around bones.
This knife is single-beveled carbon steel, offering excellent sharpness.
It is in good condition with minimal signs of use.
The black areas of the blade have been treated with a Black Oxide Finish. This finish forms a stable oxide layer on the iron surface, helping suppress red rust while giving the blade a calm black appearance. The rugged black blade contrasts clearly with the sharpened silver edge, giving it a strong tool-like presence. As it is used, the black oxide areas will gradually change in appearance, which is part of the appeal of carbon steel knives.
Professionally sharpened and ready to use. Sharpening service is included in the price. Please handle with care when unpacking.
Engraving: 元亀 (Genki)
Marking: Handle appears newly replaced and like new
Length: 280mm
Blade Length: 150mm
Blade Width: 50mm
Blade Thickness: 8mm
Weight: 221g
