Seki Magoroku Yanagiba Knife

This is a yanagiba knife by Seki Magoroku.

The yanagiba is a traditional Japanese knife designed for slicing sashimi with a long, single pulling motion. This is a Seki Magoroku knife with a water buffalo handle. There is some shallow darkening, but overall it remains in good condition.

This knife is single-beveled and made of hagane (carbon steel), offering excellent sharpness.
A practical sashimi knife suitable for home sushi enjoyment as well as careful fish slicing, with the clean cutting action expected from a yanagiba.

The knife has been sharpened, so it is ready to use immediately upon arrival. Please handle with care when unpacking. The price includes the sharpening fee.

It features the engravings "関孫六" (Seki Magoroku) and "紫竹" (Shichiku).
