Ryoma Hatchet
The Hatchet is a blade suited for pruning branches and chopping firewood.
This item is double-beveled carbon steel, offering excellent sharpness.
A carbon steel hatchet with sheath. Since it is a hatchet, it has been sharpened more lightly than a kitchen knife. There are some hammer marks on the spine, but they should not be very noticeable and should not affect use. The sheath is included, but the leather belt-style clasp is torn, so please note this.
The black areas of the blade have been treated with a Black Oxide Finish. This finish forms a stable oxide layer on the iron surface, helping suppress red rust while giving the blade a calm black appearance. The rugged black blade contrasts clearly with the sharpened silver edge, giving it a strong tool-like presence. As it is used, the black oxide areas will gradually change in appearance, which is part of the appeal of carbon steel blades. Since this finish was not applied to a brand-new item, the black color may be uneven in places, adding to its character.
Professionally sharpened and ready to use. Sharpening service is included in the price. Please handle with care when unpacking.
