Suita Okishige Nakiri Knife

The Nakiri is a double-bevel vegetable knife with a straight edge that makes cutting vegetables easy and efficient. This is a hand-made, very well-crafted Nakiri, and a rare piece that is no longer produced.

The black area on the blade is a kuro-sabi (black rust) finish. By forming a stable oxide layer on the surface, it helps suppress red rust while giving the blade a calm, dark appearance. The rugged black blade and the polished silver edge create a strong contrast and a distinctive tool-like presence. As you use it, the look of the finished area will gradually change, which is part of the charm of carbon steel. Since this is not a brand-new knife treated from scratch, the black coloration may vary, but that variation can also be enjoyed as character.

This knife features a double-bevel carbon steel construction known for its excellent sharpness.

Professionally sharpened and ready to use. Sharpening service is included in the price. Please handle with care when unpacking.
