Honesuki Knife with Black Oxide Finish
The Honesuki is a knife suited for poultry butchery and working around bones.
This knife is single-beveled carbon steel, offering excellent sharpness.
A thick and sturdy-looking Honesuki knife.
The black areas of the blade have been treated with a Black Oxide Finish. This finish forms a stable oxide layer on the iron surface, helping suppress red rust while giving the blade a calm black appearance. The rugged black blade contrasts clearly with the sharpened silver edge, giving it a strong tool-like presence. As it is used, the black oxide areas will gradually change in appearance, which is part of the appeal of carbon steel knives. Since this finish was not applied to a brand-new knife, the black color may be uneven in places, adding to its character.
The maker's mark cannot be confirmed, possibly due to maintenance, but this is a good single-beveled carbon steel knife.
Professionally sharpened and ready to use. Sharpening service is included in the price. Please handle with care when unpacking.
