Takeaki Yanagiba Knife
The yanagiba is a traditional Japanese sashimi knife designed to create clean, beautiful slices with a smooth pull cut.
This knife is single-beveled and made of hagane (high-carbon steel). It appears to have been used very little and features a clean water buffalo handle.
It has been sharpened and is ready to use upon arrival. Please handle with care when unpacking. The price includes the sharpening service.
It features engravings “竹晃” (Takeaki) and “別打” (Betsuuchi).
For sushi and sashimi, a yanagiba’s long pull cut helps keep the fish surface glossy and intact—exactly the kind of slicing sushi chefs aim for in sushi restaurants.
