Azumaminamoto Masamichi Gyuto Knife

This is a Gyuto knife from Azumaminamoto Masamichi. The Gyuto is a multi-purpose chef’s knife suitable for cutting meat and vegetables. This blade has a rugged look thanks to a dark "black rust" style coating on the jigane, while the cutting edge shows the clean silver of the Hagane. The knife has a lot of character. There is a small crack in the handle, but it does not appear to affect normal use and has been reflected in the price; please also confirm this in the photos.

The knife has a double-bevel Hagane (carbon steel) blade made from Swedish steel, offering very sharp cutting performance.

It has been sharpened, so it is ready to use immediately upon arrival. Please handle with care when unpacking. The price includes the sharpening fee.

Although somewhat thinned by maintenance, the blade bears engravings "東源正道" (Azumaminamoto Masamichi) and "田崎の別打" (Tazaki Special Forging).

This Gyuto is well suited to users who appreciate tools with a rugged, custom look and want the bite of Swedish carbon steel in a distinctive kitchen knife.
