Sakai Sadamune Yanagiba Knife

This is a yanagiba knife by Sakai Sadamune.

The yanagiba is a traditional Japanese knife designed for slicing sashimi with a long, single pulling motion. This is a clean knife with a beautiful water buffalo handle. Some darkening typical of hagane steel has developed during storage, but the sharpened edge remains bright and silver.

This knife is single-beveled and made of hagane (carbon steel), offering excellent sharpness.
A traditional sashimi knife with an elegant handle and the long, clean cutting action valued for sushi and sashimi preparation.

The knife has been sharpened, so it is ready to use immediately upon arrival. Please handle with care when unpacking. The price includes the sharpening fee.

It features the engravings "堺貞宗" (Sakai Sadamune) and "別打" (Custom Forged). The handle also retains the Sakura seal sticker.
