Norimasa Yanagiba Knife
This is a yanagiba knife by Norimasa.
The yanagiba is a traditional Japanese knife designed for slicing sashimi with a long, single pulling motion. There is a crack on the spine side of the handle. It does not appear to be spreading, and since it is a narrow handle, it has been left as is. Because this is a traditional Japanese knife, replacing the handle is also an option for those who are concerned. The condition is reflected slightly in the price, so it may be a good value for someone who does not mind it.
This knife is single-beveled and made of hagane (carbon steel), offering excellent sharpness.
A long yanagiba like this is well suited to sashimi and sushi preparation, and users familiar with wa-handles may consider a future handle replacement if desired.
The knife has been sharpened, so it is ready to use immediately upon arrival. Please handle with care when unpacking. The price includes the sharpening fee.
It features the engraving "則正作" (Norimasa).
Length: 415mm
Blade Length: 270mm
Blade Width: 31mm
Blade Thickness: 4-5mm

SHARPENED by a Japanese Sharpener. Razor sharp. The sharpener is in Kyoto, the traditional city in Japan as you know. You can use without maintenance. You don't need to pay maintenance costs after receiving. If any, please feel free to ask, English available.
