Sakai Sadamune Yanagiba Knife
This is a yanagiba knife by Sakai Sadamune.
The yanagiba is a traditional Japanese knife designed for slicing sashimi with a long, single pulling motion. The logo below the Sakai registration engraving matches the one on the Sakai Sadamune deba that arrived at the same time, so this can be confidently identified as a Sakai Sadamune knife with a water buffalo handle and Sakura seal sticker.
This knife is single-beveled and made of hagane (carbon steel), offering excellent sharpness.
A traditional sashimi knife well suited to sushi and sashimi preparation, with the kind of long, clean cutting action valued by sushi chefs and sushi restaurants.
The knife has been sharpened, so it is ready to use immediately upon arrival. Please handle with care when unpacking. The price includes the sharpening fee.
It features the engravings and logo "堺登録" (Sakai Registered) and "別打" (Custom Forged). The Sakura seal sticker also remains.
