Sakai Hozan Usuba Knife

This is an usuba knife by Sakai Hozan.

The usuba is a traditional Japanese vegetable knife suited to delicate tasks such as katsuramuki and decorative cutting. Some darkening typical of hagane steel is present, but the edge remains beautifully silver, and the handle is exceptionally clean, almost like new, as if it was replaced recently.

This knife is single-beveled and made of hagane (carbon steel), offering excellent sharpness.
Its clean edge and fresh-looking handle make it an appealing choice for users who want a traditional vegetable knife ready for precise work.

The knife has been sharpened, so it is ready to use immediately upon arrival. Please handle with care when unpacking. The price includes the sharpening fee.

It features the engravings "堺寶山" (Sakai Hozan) and "別打" (Custom Forged).
