Kunisuke Deba Knife
This is a deba knife by Kunisuke.
The deba is a traditional Japanese knife for breaking down fish, with a thick blade suited to work around bones. This kurouchi-finish piece shows relatively little sign of use. At a little over 6 sun in length, it is a larger deba capable of handling fairly large fish.
This knife is single-beveled and made of hagane (carbon steel), offering excellent sharpness.
Its larger size and thick blade make it especially useful for serious fish processing, from filleting to cutting through tougher sections near the head and spine.
The knife has been sharpened, so it is ready to use immediately upon arrival. Please handle with care when unpacking. The price includes the sharpening fee.
It features the engraving "國助" (Kunisuke). The handle also bears a branded mark.
Length: 330mm
Blade Length: 185mm
Blade Width: 53mm
Blade Thickness: 8-9mm
Weight: 355g
SHARPENED by a Japanese Sharpener. Razor sharp. The sharpener is in Kyoto, the traditional city in Japan as you know. You can use without maintenance. You don't need to pay maintenance costs after receiving. If any, please feel free to ask, English available.
