Sakai Kokaji Kunitake Yanagiba Knife

This is a yanagiba knife by Sakai Kokaji Kunitake.

The yanagiba is a traditional Japanese knife designed for slicing sashimi with long, clean pulling strokes. This piece appears to have been used with care and remains in good condition with only light signs of use.

This knife is single-beveled and made of hagane (carbon steel), offering excellent sharpness.
A refined working yanagiba suitable for sashimi preparation, with the kind of controlled edge feel appreciated in sushi and fish-focused kitchens.

The knife has been sharpened, so it is ready to use immediately upon arrival. Please handle with care when unpacking. The price includes the sharpening fee.

The handle bears a branded mark reading "堺小鍛冶國武" (Sakai Kokaji Kunitake).
