Masamoto Usuba Knife
The Usuba knife is a traditional Japanese vegetable knife designed for peeling, intricate cutting, and katsura-muki (rotary peeling). Its flat and sharp edge allows for clean and precise cuts.
This knife is single-edged and made of high-carbon steel, providing excellent sharpness. It follows the Kanto-style Usuba design, but the blade tapers towards the tip, suggesting it was customized for specific cutting techniques. Despite this, the knife appears to be in excellent condition with minimal signs of use.
The knife has been sharpened, so it is ready to use immediately upon arrival. Please handle with care when unpacking. The price includes the sharpening fee.
It features engravings "登録" (Registered) and "正本" (Masamoto). The handle end bears the "正本" (Masamoto) marking.
Length: 380mm
Blade Length: 230mm
Blade Width: 43mm
Blade Thickness: 4-5mm
Weight: 193g
SHARPENED by a Japanese Sharpener. Razor sharp. The sharpener is in Kyoto, the traditional city in Japan as you know. You can use without maintenance. You don't need to pay maintenance costs after receiving. If any, please feel free to ask, English available.
