Izumimasa Yanagiba Knife

The Yanagiba is the most common knife used for slicing sashimi. This Yanagiba, from the renowned knife-making region of Sakai, is crafted under the Izumimasa brand. It features a beautiful white buffalo horn handle and is made from Yasuki Steel, specifically Aogami Steel. The knife is in excellent condition with little sign of use, and it has a blade length of approximately 27cm, or 9 inches.

For safety, the tip and heel of the blade have been slightly chamfered, which you can see in the photos. This doesn’t affect the knife’s performance, but please confirm this detail before purchasing. If desired, the tip can be easily sharpened to a point.

The knife has been sharpened, so it cuts well and is ready to use immediately. Please handle it with care when unpacking. The price includes the sharpening fee.

This knife features the engravings "堺" (Sakai), "登録" (Registered), and "泉正" (Izumimasa).
