[HYPER REBORN] Special Aogami Steel Deba Knife

This is a deba knife marked Special Aogami Steel.

The deba is a traditional Japanese knife designed for breaking down fish, with a thick blade suited to work around bones. This was likely made in Tosa, Kochi Prefecture. It is a double-edged deba.

The black surface on the blade is a black oxide finish.
Black oxide finish forms a stable oxidized layer on the steel surface, helping to reduce red rust while giving the blade a calm, dark appearance.
The dark blade and polished silver edge create a strong contrast, giving the knife a distinctive tool-like presence.
As the knife is used over time, the appearance of the black oxide area will gradually change, which is part of the appeal of carbon steel knives.
This finish was not applied to a brand-new knife, so there may be some variation in tone, which can also be appreciated as part of its character.

This knife is single-beveled and made of hagane (carbon steel), offering excellent sharpness.
A distinctive deba with traditional character, suitable for fish preparation and appealing to users who appreciate the rugged look of black-finished carbon steel.

The knife has been sharpened, so it is ready to use immediately upon arrival. Please handle with care when unpacking. The price includes the sharpening fee.

It features the engraving "特製青鋼入" (Special Aogami Steel).
