Suishinshi Masamori Nakiri Knife
The Nakiri is a double-edged vegetable knife with a straight edge that makes vegetables easy to cut. The black area on the blade is a black rust finish. This finish forms a stable oxide layer on the steel surface to help suppress red rust while giving the blade a calm black appearance. The rugged black blade and the polished silver edge create a strong contrast and a tool-like presence. The look of the black rust area will gradually change with use, which is part of the appeal of carbon steel. Since this is not a new knife treated for black rust, the black coloration may be uneven, which can also be enjoyed as character.
This knife features a double-edged carbon steel blade known for its sharp cutting performance.
Professionally sharpened and ready to use. Sharpening service is included in the price. Please handle with care when unpacking.
Markings: 刀匠 (Swordsmith), 水心子正盛 (Suishinshi Masamori), 特撰 (Special Selection)
