Masahiro Nakiri Knife

The nakiri is a Japanese vegetable knife designed for straight push-cutting, making it efficient for chopping and slicing vegetables.

This knife is double-beveled with a warikomi (clad) construction. It is a unique Masahiro piece with excellent cutting performance typical of clad knives. The golden-colored ferrule is an uncommon detail. There are noticeable sharpening marks and small scratches overall, but it should be perfectly usable with ongoing sharpening. The price reflects the heavier cosmetic wear, so it is a good value if you don’t mind the marks.

It has been sharpened and is ready to use upon arrival. Please handle with care when unpacking. The price includes the sharpening service.

It features engravings “登録” (Registered), “正広” (Masahiro), and “Stainless Clad.”

A clad nakiri is a practical vegetable workhorse—great edge feel at the core steel, with easier day-to-day care than fully carbon blades.
