Buzen Masamune Deba Knife

A deba is a traditional Japanese knife used for breaking down fish, known for its thick and durable blade.

This knife is double-beveled and made of hagane (high-carbon steel). It was likely stored in nearly unused condition. The sticker remains clean, though it appears it was stored for some time—please check the photos. A double-bevel deba is relatively uncommon.

It has been sharpened and is ready to use upon arrival. Please handle with care when unpacking. The price includes the sharpening service.

It features the engraving “豊前正宗” (Buzen Masamune). The handle also has a branded mark, and the sticker remains attached.

A double-bevel deba can feel more familiar to users of Western knives, while still offering the stout strength you want for fish heads, collars, and filleting work.
