Takeaki Usuba Knife

The usuba is a traditional Japanese vegetable knife designed for precise work such as katsuramuki (rotary peeling) and decorative cuts. This knife is single-beveled.

This knife is single-beveled and made of hagane (high-carbon steel). It appears to have been used very little and features a clean water buffalo handle.

It has been sharpened and is ready to use upon arrival. Please handle with care when unpacking. The price includes the sharpening service.

It features engravings “竹晃” (Takeaki) and “別打” (Betsuuchi).

Single-bevel usuba knives are beloved for crisp, precise vegetable cuts—great when presentation matters for Japanese-style plating.
