[HYPER REBORN] Yoshitomo Deba Knife

A deba is a traditional Japanese knife that works well for filleting fish (such as sanmai-oroshi) and for tasks around bones thanks to its thick, sturdy blade.

This knife is single-beveled and made of hagane (high-carbon steel).

The black area of the blade has a Black Oxide Finish.
A Black Oxide Finish forms a stable oxidized layer on the steel surface, helping reduce red rust while giving the blade a calm, dark appearance.
The rugged black blade and the polished silver edge create a strong contrast, giving the knife a bold, tool-like presence.
With continued use, the look of the black oxide area will gradually change—one of the unique charms of carbon steel knives.

It has been sharpened and is ready to use upon arrival. Please handle with care when unpacking. The price includes the sharpening service.

It features the engraving “義友作” (Yoshitomo-made).

For anyone who breaks down fish regularly, a carbon-steel deba rewards you with powerful bite and confident control—especially useful before moving on to sushi and sashimi slicing.
