Munemitsu Men-Kiri Knife

This is a Men-Kiri (noodle-cutting) knife from Munemitsu. It is designed for cutting udon, soba, ramen, and other noodles straight and cleanly. The knife appears to have been stored with little use; the blade shows very little wear, and there is no noticeable reduction in height. The box shows some age-related wear and should be considered an added bonus rather than part of the value.

The knife has a double-bevel Hagane (carbon steel) blade, offering strong stiffness and sharp cutting performance suited to noodle-making.

It has been sharpened, so it is ready to use immediately upon arrival. Please handle with care when unpacking. The price includes the sharpening fee.

It bears the engraving "宗光作" (Munemitsu-Made), and the handle has a branding mark reading "本手造り" (Hand-Forged).

This Men-Kiri knife is perfect for anyone who wants to hand-cut soba or udon at home and experience the feel of a traditional noodle craftsman’s tool.
