Masahisa Petty Knife 105mm

This is a petty knife by Masahisa. It is a single-bevel Japanese-style petty, with a relatively thick blade that gives it durability; it can even be used similarly to an Aji-Kiri knife. Despite its compact size, it handles ingredients with small bones and can be used for both fine detail work and light small-fish prep, making it very versatile. It shows only light signs of use and is in good condition.

This knife has a single-bevel Hagane (carbon steel) blade, offering a sharp and powerful cutting feel.

The knife has been sharpened and is ready to use immediately upon arrival. Please take care when opening the package. The listed price already includes the sharpening service.

It bears the engraving “正久” (Masahisa). Because it combines the maneuverability of a petty with the strength of a thicker blade, this piece is well suited for users who want one small knife that can handle everything from garnishes to light fish butchery.

The single-bevel edge also allows more precise control near bones and joints compared with a standard Western petty.
