Rikisou Nakiri Knife
The nakiri is a Japanese vegetable knife designed for straight push-cutting and efficient prep work.
This knife is double-beveled and made of hagane (high-carbon steel). The original sticker remains, though it is rubbed, suggesting it may have been lightly used and stored. The blade does not appear to have much wear.
The black area of the blade has a Black Oxide Finish.
A Black Oxide Finish forms a stable oxidized layer on the steel surface, helping reduce red rust while giving the blade a calm, dark appearance.
The rugged black blade and the polished silver edge create a strong contrast, giving the knife a bold, tool-like presence.
With continued use, the look of the black oxide area will gradually change—one of the unique charms of carbon steel knives.
It has been sharpened and is ready to use upon arrival. Please handle with care when unpacking. The price includes the sharpening service.
It features engravings “特選” (Special Selection) and “力宗” (Rikisou).
