Sakko Usuba Knife
The usuba is a traditional Japanese vegetable knife suited for precise work such as katsuramuki (rotary peeling) and decorative cuts. This knife is single-beveled. Because it is a smaller usuba, it is a good option for those who want to try an usuba style or are looking for a compact one.
This knife is made of hagane (high-carbon steel) with a single bevel, offering a very sharp cutting feel.
It has been sharpened and is ready to use upon arrival. Please handle with care when unpacking. The price includes the sharpening service.
It features the engraving “作光作” (Sakko-made). The handle also has a branded mark of “堺作光” (Sakai Sakko).
Single-bevel vegetable knives are prized for their clean, crisp cuts—especially when presentation matters in Japanese-style vegetable prep.
Length: 275mm
Blade Length: 150mm
Blade Width: 38mm
Blade Thickness: 3mm
Weight: 106g
SHARPENED by a Japanese Sharpener. Razor sharp. The sharpener is in Kyoto, the traditional city in Japan as you know. You can use without maintenance. You don't need to pay maintenance costs after receiving. If any, please feel free to ask, English available.
